Locked4Kids

What it is

Locked4Kids is part of Ecobliss Packaging Group. It offers certified child-resistant and senior-friendly packaging in two forms: the Locked4Kids carton and the all-paper Wallet Box. Ecobliss started developing the carton in 2013 and launched it in 2014.

Certification and test results

Both Locked4Kids solutions are child resistant, senior friendly and certified. The certifications are ISO 8317 for Europe and US 16 CFR 1700.20 for the United States; testing took place at BVI in Belgium, an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory.

In testing with 300 children, less than 1% opened the pack before a demonstration and less than 4% after two rounds. All seniors tested (100%) opened it.

Recognition

Locked4Kids won the CPhI Pharma Award for best innovation in packaging and a Zilveren Noot at De Gouden Noot (2014), a WorldStar award and the WorldStar President's Award in gold (2015), the NJPEC Package of the Year gold award in the pharmaceutical category (2016) and AmeriStar Best of Show (2017).
